Tara's Secret Recipe for Passion

February 28, 2018, Tara Khattar just got eliminated from the famous culinary TV show Top Chef (France). Now I'm sure you are wondering why I chose to highlight her "failure" on TV. Well... Tara, at just 25, is the first Lebanese contestant to participate in Top Chef France #Proud. Despite being raised amongst lawyers and a judgmental culture where cooking for a living is frowned upon, Tara chose to pursue her dream and enrolled at the renowned culinary institute Paul Bocuse in France. Surrounding herself with Michelin starred chefs such as Jacques Chibois and Joel Robuchon, Tara wanted to project her career on an international scale. A few years later, she decided to complement her culinary knowledge with a Master’s degree at the New York University in Food Studies.

In 2016, her talent finally got recognized amongst the Lebanese community by being featured as the image of Dewar's Live True campaign in Beirut. When asked what inspired her determination, Tara admits that her strength and power to pursue her dream are drawn forces from her home country Lebanon.

The Pursuit of Success
